Editorial | Brand Identity
This project is an editorial and brand identity design project using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. It was designed for Bioculture, an ocean-themed magazine focused on bringing awareness to endangered animals and the issues affecting marine life. The goal of this project was to share information about animal abuse, human and animal interactions, and the challenges endangered species face through visual storytelling.
My role as a graphic designer was to create a compelling editorial design that balanced storytelling and factual information. I focused on creating visuals that could communicate the importance of protecting animals while making the information engaging and easier for readers to connect with. I used waves as inspiration to create abstract shapes throughout the design, connecting the visuals back to the ocean theme while creating movement and flow within the layout.
The value I brought to this project was my research and
dedication to learning more about animals and the issues surrounding their protection.
My impact on this project was using design as a way to make important information more approachable. Through the use of typography, imagery, layout, and ocean-inspired abstract shapes, I helped transform research about endangered animals into a visual story that could connect with readers and encourage them to learn more about ocean conservation.
