Editorial | Typography | Brand Identity
This project is an editorial, typography, and brand identity designed using InDesign, Illustrator, and
Photoshop. The poster and mailer were designed for the Akron Art Museum as marketing materials
for an Art Nouveau exhibition.
In my role as a graphic designer, I explored how typography, patterns, and layout could work together to create a visual identity that represented the exhibition. I focused on creating a design that connected with the Art Nouveau style while presenting it in a more modern and unexpected way.
The value I brought to this project was my experience with patterns and typography, and my understanding of how those elements can be manipulated and combined to work together as a cohesive design system.
My impact on this project was using a darker color palette to showcase a different side of Art Nouveau while avoiding a predictable or overly traditional approach. I wanted to create a design that respected the style's history but presented it in a way that felt fresh, refined, and engaging for the audience.
